Ellen Dunkling
Bookkeeper and Data Manager
Ellen was born and raised Barre. Throughout her schooling, Ellen’s coursework led her to bookkeeping and accounting, and ultimately her career path.
Ellen’s many strengths have included skidding wood, pony pulling at fairs, and driving a school bus. She recalls working as the bookkeeper at the egg farm in Hardwick and Plainfield. “It was more than just numbers,” Ellen says, “I learned to candle the eggs, package and even deliver to the store.”
In 2010 Ellen retired from her role as a Sales Assistant from a new car dealership, where she managed vehicle purchasing and registration documents. But in November 2011, Ellen learned that People’s Health & Wellness Clinic was looking for a part-time bookkeeper and felt passionate about the work happening at the clinic.
“My position at the clinic is more than just a job,” Ellen says. “It is a chance to help those in need, no matter what the “job” needs to be done.”
