People's Health and Wellness Clinic Teams Up with Aldrich Public Library to Install Free Library for Patients

BARRE, VT - The People's Health and Wellness Clinic (PHWC) is delighted to announce a new initiative aimed at promoting literacy and wellness among its patients. In collaboration with the esteemed Aldrich Public Library, the clinic has installed a Little Free Library in its waiting room, offering patients access to a diverse selection of books.

The Little Free Library project signifies a joint effort between the People's Health and Wellness Clinic and the Aldrich Public Library to foster a culture of reading and well-being within the community. Patients visiting the clinic will now have the opportunity to peruse and take books during their visits, enhancing their overall healthcare experience.

"We are thrilled to partner with the Aldrich Public Library to bring the joy of reading to our patients," said Daniel Barlow, executive director of the People's Health and Wellness Clinic. "We believe that access to literature contributes to mental and emotional well-being. By providing free books in our waiting room, we hope to create a welcoming environment that supports the holistic health of our patients."

The Little Free Library will be stocked with a variety of books supplied by the Aldrich Public Library, as well as contributions from volunteer doctors and nurses at the People's Health and Wellness Clinic. Patients of all ages will have access to an array of reading materials, including fiction, non-fiction, children's books, and more. The little library was built by Dale Davis, a longtime volunteer at the clinic.

"We are excited to collaborate with the People's Health and Wellness Clinic on this meaningful project," said Garrett Grant, Assistant Library Director at the Aldrich Public Library. "Libraries play a vital role in promoting literacy and lifelong learning, and by extending our services to healthcare settings, we hope to reach even more members of the community and inspire a love for reading."

The People's Health and Wellness Clinic and the Aldrich Public Library invite the community to celebrate the launch of the Little Free Library and explore the diverse selection of books available at the clinic’s offices, located at 51 Church Street in downtown Barre.
