People's Health and Wellness Clinic Welcomes Stefanie Pinard as New Community Resource Manager
Barre, VT — The People’s Health and Wellness Clinic (PHWC) is excited to announce the addition of Stefanie Pinard as our new Community Resource Manager. Stefanie brings a wealth of experience and a passion for supporting individuals in need, which will be instrumental in addressing our patients' social determinants of health.
In this critical role, Stefanie will focus on managing the health and wellness social needs that significantly impact our patients’ well-being to access the benefits and assistance they need to to make meaningful changes in their lives. Stefanie is training to become a Certified Patient Assister where she will help patients overcome some of the barriers to our health care system.
“I am thrilled to join the People’s Health and Wellness Clinic team and contribute to its mission of improving lives,” said Stefanie. “I look forward to helping our patients navigate complex systems and collaborating with community partners so we can best serve our patients.”
Whether it’s supporting unhoused individuals, connecting patients with food resources, or guiding them through challenging circumstances, Stefanie will be a much needed resource for our community. She is especially interested in helping those who face food insecurity by tapping into the many resources here in Central Vermont.
She will work closely with Teal Church, the clinic’s Director of Clinical Services, and Joanne Puente, our Oral Health Case Manager, to ensure that patients receive comprehensive support outside of their medical and dental care that we offer.
Stefanie grew up in Montpelier, and moved back to raise her children here in Central Vermont where she currently resides. She has always had a desire for helping those in need and thrives with mission based work that ties in outreach and the community.
Prior to coming here, she previously worked at The Food Pantry and Community Resource Center at Just Basics, Inc. in Montpelier where she made strong connections to other social service agencies and organizations. Her background includes animal hospital management and volunteering with mission based organizations. In addition to pursuing an Associate in Science degree in Human Services at the Community College of Vermont she has also taken numerous communication and leadership classes at UVM and at CCV.
“Stefanie’s dedication to service and her deep understanding of community resources make her an incredible addition to our team,” said Daniel Barlow, PHWC. “Her work will be vital in ensuring our patients can address the barriers to health and well-being beyond the clinic walls.”
Teal Church, PHWC Director of Clinical Services, added, “By helping our patients access housing, food programs, and other essential services, Stefanie will play a key role in supporting their overall health. We are thrilled to have her on board.”
The People’s Health and Wellness Clinic has served the Barre community and beyond for over 30 years, providing free healthcare services to uninsured and underinsured individuals.
